My new stabby rave-bass release Make The Beat Drop is out today – Beatport only for the time being – with sexy remixes from Wigan anti-socialite Prawn and Edinburgh-based bass ace Reset The Atari. Also in the package is chiptune-a-thon Sidley’s Kidleys. It’s about a spider.
You may remember that myself and Prawn (The artist formerly known as Doc) had a jungle-off a while back.
Well, I’ve decided to give my track, “Boom Boom Pow Pow” away for free! Press play on the pretty picture above, and follow the link for a top-quality Mp3.
You must be well haggard by now, but please don’t stop yet, as we have another soundsystem fuelled rave off for ye.
Bristol / Prague based label ELECTROSTIMULATION RECORDS celebrates it’s 3rd Birthday this month, and they decided that Wigan was the only place hard enough to be holding the party!
The label was put together one day after Mr Kinetic found a small plastic Z shaped Kat inside a kinder egg. When left overnight the miniature feline grew to massive proportions! Instead of ringing the RSPCA / Kinder Egg support hotline they decided to set up a label together, and much joy was had by all!
This was back in 2008 and it took them 2 years to finally achieve their ultimate goal, of somehow landing a gig in Wigan.
Since he last joined us, KANJI KINETIC has been busy with all manner of good new things. He’s recently started a free digital label called Mutant Bass, and has many a release due out this year.
We had Z-KAT over here on Boxing Day to play our other night, and he had such a good one he mentioned celebrating the birthday over here in the first place. He’s a lovely bloke/Dj/producer combo and has released various good things on his own label.
Lastly but not leastly our bounty of buffman residents will be supplying a mixture of all things good! Meecha and Tenmen will be doing what they do, and there will be a weird back2front2back/daisy chain at the start from Heapy, Prawn and Oddfellow!

I had the good fortune to get some sounds of U.S. bass-miester “Figure” last week so i could do a little remix for him, so i quickly got to work with a rusty pair of scissors and an old pritt stick covered in pubes (i have very high production standards!), the end result is a chopped up torture victim of a track that can be heard and downloaded for free here :
Its up for free download, so go and download that shizzle for free like it sez !
I recently had the pleasure of discovering some music that didn’t make me start whinging about presets and obvious sounds that im bored of, which for me these days is quite an achievement (im becoming quite a miserable critic in my old age!).
Combining an old skool vibe, with some new skool heavyness RTA is genuinly “tickling my fancy!“, so without further ado i would like to introduce you to the awesome sounds of Scotlands “Reset The Atari”
Have yourselves a listen :
First up, the nostalgia inducing “Mash the Piano”
Next up, poo in your pants at the sound of “Harbinger”
We have been listening to quite alot of old skool jungle lately, it did this to us….
………So we decided to dig our amen breaks out and have have a crack at some music from the past…….
……Heres one from Mr Heapy……..
….and heres one from me….
……Have yourself a listen, enjoy and reminisce, but whatever you do, please don’t get your rusty old whistle out of the sock drawer, its not hygeinic !
Hope you’ve all had a smashtabulous festive period, and are well on the way to recovery.
Now we’re back on the daily grind it’s time to banish those blues.
As an added bonus, here’s my remix of “My Secret Ingredient” – also gratis:
