I had the good fortune to get some sounds of U.S. bass-miester “Figure” last week so i could do a little remix for him, so i quickly got to work with a rusty pair of scissors and an old pritt stick covered in pubes (i have very high production standards!), the end result is a chopped up torture victim of a track that can be heard and downloaded for free here :
Its up for free download, so go and download that shizzle for free like it sez !
Figure’s on fire at the moment, throwing hot new wobbles from across that big pond they call the ‘Atlantic Ocean’… He’s just release a new EP on Calvertron (of Twocker fame)’s Jack Knife Records, 2 meaty tracks of bass, wobbles and more bass.
One track is a solo recording while the other is a duet ballad with North Wales’s Jay Robinson.
Oh… and by ballad I mean banger.
Over to Figure:
“Calvertron asked me to make him a ep for his label Jack Knife, and here it is. Two big bass smashers, listen on the soundcloud players then pick them up on Beatport!”
Today sees the release of my remix of Knob Jockeys’ “Rythedia”, on Mr Vega’s Rot10 Records, alongside sexual offerings from Figure, Coin Operated Boy and DSKOTEK.
Have a listen here:
And if you feel like splashing out, here it is on Beatport:
I won’t lie, I’m quite excited. Today sees the first release of any of the ‘Heapy‘ material on Beatport, Juno, Amazon and probably more I’ve not heard about yet. This has all been made possible by Ian at THaF Records.
If you fancy grabbing a copy, check it out on the player below.
Here’s the promo bumph:
Heapy ‘In the Party EP’
- Heapy – In The Party
- Heapy – Wreck the Discotheque
- Heapy – Funky Feeling
‘In The Party’ marks the debut release for both label and artist Heapy, the Wigan-based fidget/wobble/electro/bassline producer who has been cited as an influence by the likes of American producer Figure, for whom Heapy remixed ‘Ima Drop’, and who has a residency for Don’t Panic and NXNW. So far comments from Heapy’s contemporaries have been nothing but positive, with Hostage saying, simply, “Nice – HARDCORE” and DJ Abduction, “SERIOUS Business right here. Hell yes.”
He’s also remixing the likes of Hostage, Idiot Boys, Knob Jockeys, Filthy Rehab, Diplo & Don Diablo, and has been instrumental in getting my tunes in front of some influential ears!
In preparation for Halloween he’s been making the impossible possible by giving an Andrew Lloyd Webber classic an injection of hot, meaty bass!
Also, Figure’s “Ima Drop” EP is out in a few weeks, featuring remixes from Drop Top, Jay Robinson, Last Japan… and myself!
