ANOTHER MIX FOR MORE EARS !

Don’t Panic #20 feat. Kanji Kinetic & Z-Kat

Don’t Panic is 20 episodes deep! That means if you’ve been with us from that start that’s over 100 hours of non-panic!

You must be well haggard by now, but please don’t stop yet, as we have another soundsystem fuelled rave off for ye.

Bristol / Prague based label ELECTROSTIMULATION RECORDS celebrates it’s 3rd Birthday this month, and they decided that Wigan was the only place hard enough to be holding the party!

The label was put together one day after Mr Kinetic found a small plastic Z shaped Kat inside a kinder egg. When left overnight the miniature feline grew to massive proportions! Instead of ringing the RSPCA / Kinder Egg support hotline they decided to set up a label together, and much joy was had by all!

This was back in 2008 and it took them 2 years to finally achieve their ultimate goal, of somehow landing a gig in Wigan.

Since he last joined us, KANJI KINETIC has been busy with all manner of good new things. He’s recently started a free digital label called Mutant Bass, and has many a release due out this year.

We had Z-KAT over here on Boxing Day to play our other night, and he had such a good one he mentioned celebrating the birthday over here in the first place. He’s a lovely bloke/Dj/producer combo and has released various good things on his own label.

Figure Remix Free D/L

I had the good fortune to get some sounds of  U.S. bass-miester “Figure” last week so i could do a little remix for him, so  i quickly got to work with a rusty pair of scissors and an old pritt stick covered in pubes (i have very high production standards!), the end result is a chopped up torture victim of a track that can be heard and downloaded for free here :

I recently had the pleasure of discovering some music that didn’t make me start whinging about presets and obvious sounds that im bored of, which for me these days is quite an achievement (im becoming quite a miserable critic in my old age!).
