Re:mission returns in August with none other than METH!!.

After years working as one third of The SECT, METH is now making a huge impact with his solo production, with many superb releases already on Offkey, as well as forthcoming releases on Subtitles and Renegade Hardware.

Releases and forthcoming material can be heard here:

http://soundcloud.com/meth

When he’s not locked in the studio, METH is a force to be reckoned with on the decks. Expect a no-holds-barred set of epic proportions in this exclusive booking for Manchester.

Supporting will be Re:mission residents Meecha, Isored, and host Logic MC, alongside UMDNB’s Giles and the North West’s most talented DJ – Gloxxy! Entertainment beyond containment!

With plenty more to come from Re:mission, hopefully we can give Manchester what it’s been missing.

Reso – Hospitality D&B Mix

Reso really did do some damage when he played for us. I think there are a fair few people who still can’t get over it to be honest. You spot them round town with a vacant look in their eyes wondering what the hell happened to them!

On that note I have just spotted this mix over at The Fat Club and thought I’d give it a ruddy good linking to. Reso’s latest D&B based productions have been grabbing people’s attention so this mix is very timely indeed. This mix lacks his own productions but you can hear some samples over on his myspace.

Rubadub Birthday Tonight @ Rendezvous, St Helens

Hello there! This post is a bit late going up but fuck it, we’re just a naturally shoddy bunch. If any of you lot are looking for some filth and/or bass tonight and have the steely resolve necessary to brave the harsh, feral jungles of St Helens then get down to Rubadub’s 1st birthday shindig kicking off at 8pm.

They’ve been getting good music out of the cities and onto your doorsteps for a whole 12 months now, and on top of that they’re leaving your bank balance well alone so it’d only be polite to go along and say cheers! As they say themselves:

“We don’t want your money but we do want your ears.”

Reso @ Don’t Panic 1st Birthday!

It’s been almost a year since Don’t Panic first opened its doors to you lot and as you know its been a bumpy ride (what with every venue in the world shutting down and all that palava!), but we couldn’t, shouldn’t and didn’t give up, due to the support of you wonderful people!

In celebration of our birthday we’re having a hefty great all-nighter, and bringing a very special headliner along to ruin you all in the best possible way.

Reso is easily one of our favourite producers. One of the biggest names in dubstep with support from the likes of Mary Anne Hobbes and Rusko, with each release he seems to get better and better and judging by his recent ‘Temjim’ EP this looks set to continue. He is also an amazing DJ as anyone who’s witnessed him before can tell you, and is guaranteed to cause untold aural joy.

Supporting will be a host of amazing local DJ’s and our own lovely residents.

Meecha – Don’t Panic Promo Mix

Something weird happens to DJ’s when they lose access to equipment, they become confused and twisted and head out into nature. Its more common than you think. Go into any park and you’ll see them everywhere. The country is literally riddled with feral DJ’s!

We first found Meecha living out in the wilds, unable to speak our language (or anyone elses) and living off a diet of berries and twigs. He wasn’t in a good way to be honest. Hadnt even seen a turntable for at least a year and you could tell. His hands had clamped up and were more like hooves.

However, after access to some technics and a good rave or two he was back on fine form. We’d grown rather attatched to him by then so decided to make him our resident.

Lucky we did really, as apart from playing blinding sets for us on the regular he has also made this rather lovely promo mix.

Gridlok – Fade Away
SKC – Destroy
Blokhe4d – Cretin
Matrix & Fierce – Tightrope ( C4C Rmx )
D-Bridge – Pipe Dreams
Ram Trilogy – Human Error
Cause 4 Concern – Something Else ( Break Rmx )

Netsky – I Refuse
D-Bridge – True Romance

Ryme Tyme – We Enter ( Optical Rmx )
Noisia – Deception
Kiko & Inside Info – Response
Rolar & Neonlight – Enter
Proket – Guta
Body & Soul Vs Fourward – Carnage
Meth – Perch

Upbeats – Ghobi Ghost
Audio – Planet Fall

Digital – Hard Ears
Topcat – No Sensi Today ( Serum Rmx )

Mark XTC Mix ft Tonn Piper

Mark XTCDon’t Panic #9 is getting close now, infact if we stick our tongues out as far as possible we can almost taste it. People keep giving us weird looks though so we decided a better way to wet our whistles would be with a mix from Mark XTC, who’s going to be headlining the whole fiasco.

This mix features MC Tonn Piper whereas it’ll just be Mark and 4 (yes, 4) decks on the night, but it’ll still give you a good taster of the kind of noise you can expect to get flung towards you on the 13th. If you like what you hear then check out the facebook event for details on how to hear it much louder!

Heavyfeet Spring Promo Mix

The HeavyFeet chaps present a new mix, which you can hear over at Mixcloud. There’s a bit of everything in there – and it’s a rollercoaster of 50 tracks in 80 minutes – so hold tight and turn up the bass!

You can listen online here…

Rubadub – Rendezvous Bar, St Helens

Afternoon! This is just a quick post to let you know about a bit of a party being hosted by our good friends at Rubadub. They’ve been on a break for a little while but they’re back now to pull your hair and rub bass into your ears.

Don’t Panic resident Doc Strange will be making an appearance, as usual playing whatever happens to fall out of his record collection. Fiddling with the mixer alongside him will be John Skana/ Nick N-Deva, Tika, C-Note, Gaz A, Polish Paul and Bean, all for the princely sum of fuck all pounds and no pence!

This is all happening this Saturday (27th of February) from 8:30pm til 2am at the Rendezvous Bar, so if you’re looking for something to do this weekend in the St Helens area head down and bop about a bit.

Jesus, they can’t half bounce!

I want to see some of these moves on the 13th ;)

Don’t Panic @ Nirvana 13/03/10

Don't Panic

Alright there peeps! Yet again we will be spoiling you with all manner of underground treats via the power of the GASH Soundsystem.

Aren’t we nice?

We are insanely pleased to have MARK XTC headlining our shindig. Since winning the DMC championships in the late 80’s Mark has gone from strength to strength. He was in integral part in the “growing up” of drum and bass music in the early 90s when he was part of the now world famous “Mix Factory” and also presented a weekly jungle/drum and bass show of the same name on Manchesters “Sunset 102FM” (later Kiss 102, then Galaxy!). For many people, this was the only information point for raving many years ago.

He has had releases on many prominent DnB lables including Valve and Moving Shadow and can also be currently found teaching music production in Manchester.
,
He’ll be showing off his skills with 4 decks, playing DnB styles from the past 20 years! Do not miss!

Our good friend and dubstep based filth meister TENMEN will also be taking the stage. Anyone who witnessed his set last time he played will know what to expect. He can usually be found causing untold joy / havok in and around Liverpool but we’ve managed to kidnap him for you all :)

As well as these two beauties all the normal residents will be in attendance as per usual.
