Mark XTC Mix ft Tonn Piper
Don’t Panic #9 is getting close now, infact if we stick our tongues out as far as possible we can almost taste it. People keep giving us weird looks though so we decided a better way to wet our whistles would be with a mix from Mark XTC, who’s going to be headlining the whole fiasco.
This mix features MC Tonn Piper whereas it’ll just be Mark and 4 (yes, 4) decks on the night, but it’ll still give you a good taster of the kind of noise you can expect to get flung towards you on the 13th. If you like what you hear then check out the facebook event for details on how to hear it much louder!

Rubadub – Rendezvous Bar, St Helens
Afternoon! This is just a quick post to let you know about a bit of a party being hosted by our good friends at Rubadub. They’ve been on a break for a little while but they’re back now to pull your hair and rub bass into your ears.
Don’t Panic resident Doc Strange will be making an appearance, as usual playing whatever happens to fall out of his record collection. Fiddling with the mixer alongside him will be John Skana/ Nick N-Deva, Tika, C-Note, Gaz A, Polish Paul and Bean, all for the princely sum of fuck all pounds and no pence!
This is all happening this Saturday (27th of February) from 8:30pm til 2am at the Rendezvous Bar, so if you’re looking for something to do this weekend in the St Helens area head down and bop about a bit.

Dubstep just like mum used to make…
Here’s a couple of mixes by Guardian posted on Scott Hansen’s (also know as Tycho to chill-out fans) blog for you to wrap your listening bits around.
They’re from the classic ‘big round bass and atmospherics’ school of Dubstep, so make sure you’ve got them turned up loud for full effect. For those of you more into your face-melters remember to check our Leadbelly’s cataclysm mix here.

Doc’s Don’t Panic Promo Mix
Here’s another Don’t Panic mix for your ears and face, this time it’s from Doc Strange with a couple of contributions from Oddfellow.
Following Heapy’s fidget house mix this time we’re focusing on the Dubstep/Breaks side of things, covering some more of the genres you can hear at Don’t Panic and Hush Hush.
There’ll be more to come so keep watching this space! Not literally mind you, you’ll damage your eyes. Make sure you look away occasionally, or at least have a good blink every so often.

Wonk On!
Here’s something a bit different for those of you that enjoy the occasional brainwrong…
This wonky/downbeat mix by Kper includes tracks by some of the more leftfield dubstep artists like Bass Clef and Joker, along with plenty of sounds made by beaty weirdos like Flying Lotus and Hudson Mohawke.

Don’t Panic @ Nirvana 13/03/10
Alright there peeps! Yet again we will be spoiling you with all manner of underground treats via the power of the GASH Soundsystem.
Aren’t we nice?
We are insanely pleased to have MARK XTC headlining our shindig. Since winning the DMC championships in the late 80′s Mark has gone from strength to strength. He was in integral part in the “growing up” of drum and bass music in the early 90s when he was part of the now world famous “Mix Factory” and also presented a weekly jungle/drum and bass show of the same name on Manchesters “Sunset 102FM” (later Kiss 102, then Galaxy!). For many people, this was the only information point for raving many years ago.
He has had releases on many prominent DnB lables including Valve and Moving Shadow and can also be currently found teaching music production in Manchester.
,
He’ll be showing off his skills with 4 decks, playing DnB styles from the past 20 years! Do not miss!
Our good friend and dubstep based filth meister TENMEN will also be taking the stage. Anyone who witnessed his set last time he played will know what to expect. He can usually be found causing untold joy / havok in and around Liverpool but we’ve managed to kidnap him for you all
As well as these two beauties all the normal residents will be in attendance as per usual.
Line Up:
Mark XTC (Valve / Moving Shadow)
Tenmen (Dubterrain)
Doc Strange
Heapy
Oddfellow
Meecha
Club Nirvana,
